We call this, after much deliberation about our “new” bed. We bought a $ 1,600 bed top brand in October 2005. We have the plush and pillow top not because they were impressed by the girl who jumped up and down on it while we were lying there, and neither moved. We just felt it was more resilient bed. Well after a year of this, we decided it was just not smooth enough. So we have researched all this padding and was by far the thickest we looked at, that fit our mattress and very thick, with a good price. It arrived in about 4 days, and let the air and open to drape over our pool table. “It grew over night!” Wow. We just love the difference it made in our bed. Now we are looking for pillows to match! This was a big purchase, which arrived quickly. We got used to sleeping on it in about 2 days. It only takes one or two nights to adjust. Some people think these pads are hot, but we do not. It is a great buy for the Bucks. We love to find things on Amazon. They have links and stuff so big it gets to you almost immediately. Buy four inches. The bed is made much higher, but that extra inch really make a difference. Of course, then you have to buy sheets deep pocket. But Amazon has links for that too! Rating: 5 / 5
My husband and I have a very good mattress, but as we’ve gotten older, we had some problems with pressure points during sleep. I tried a mattress topper and believe me, feathers everywhere was simply not worth it! We also have an alternative to the mat and I like it, but still no improvement, and sufficient pressure points. I opened it and really did not notice a smell but to be safe, I went on the air about 6 hours out of my clothing line. He did grow some.
